who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea,
his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to
drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation,
a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall." Courtesy of Scott Kurtz

Monday, December 19, 2005The gift of a book
I was recently given a copy of a book that made my day. It is an old copy of The Story Girl by LM Montgomery. This book was written in 1911 with this particular copy being printed sometime during WWI. It pre-dates most of the Anne series. For my 15 year old son, this news was met with a mere yawn. But for those who know this side of me, I am a HUGE fan of Lucy Maude Montgomery, the author of Anne of Green Gables and several other wonderful stories. The giver of this book knew the value I would place on having such a book.
