"And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."

Helaman 5:12

Utah Scottish Festival

Scenes from the Utah Scottish Festival--June 14, 2008. I went with my mom and her parents to this festival last week. My grandpa's parents were born in the same small town in Scotland, but didn't meet until he came to visit his brother in Canada. My great grandmother was working as a nanny for my great grandpa's brother.

For me the sound of bagpipes are simply heavenly.

JB, I put some things in here just for you.

Big reason to vote for McCain

I grabbed this from Patrick at Born again Redneck. He often gets right to the point on his blog. So, rather than reinventing the wheel. I will just give him credit and post it as it is.

"And ponder SCOTUS' recent Gitmo decision. Three of the five Justices who voted to give foreign prisoners of war access to our civil courts may die, retire or become disabled within the next four years. There is no assurance that McCain will appoint decent judges (and there's no guarantee how they will turn out even if they appear to be conservative at first) but it's a sure thing that Obama will appoint more Ginsbergs.

Or as K-Lo at the Corner puts it:

Nuff said."
Indeed!
