"And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."

I love sunsets!

Just wanted to share this picture I took last summer while my hubby and I were on a small dinner cruise on the Great Salt Lake with his employer.

That kind of water just screams for a ski. It takes me back when I didn't weigh a ton and skied 3 or 4 days a week. The sun would be going down and the water would get like glass. When you get outside the wake you can hear the water hissing from the ski cutting through it. About as close as you can get to Heaven with your heart still beating.

I love sunsets. We get lots of nice ones in Oklahoma especially this time of year. I like the ones where there are huge thunderclouds off to the East and the sunset paints them different colors.

iopian - i LOVE catching the water when it's looking like glass - boogieboarding! it's so much fun when two people are behind the boat making magic.

I am not sure you would want to water ski in this water. It is VERY SALTY.

Yeah I guess falling would hurt a bit wouldn't it.

I usually took a camera with me. Lots of sunset shots. The ones I like are when you get those golden arches stretching from horizon to horizon.

If during Judgment I was to be asked what I liked most about the world sunsets would be near the top of the list. Sunrises coming in right behind that. Humans can create all the art they want but will never capture that grandeur.

In fact, neither can the camera...it cannot capture it like our God-given eyes.

I remember this picture! You sent it to me a few years ago when you and your husband went on a dinner cruise or something, and he had on a flowered shirt.

Sunsets are beautiful, aren't they?

I sure miss our sunsets over the ocean in Carlsbad, CA. Didn't you take a picture of that as well when you came to see me that time?

I don't think we have sunsets THAT beautiful here in San Antonio, but herpahs I just haven't been looking for them???
