Utah Scottish Festival

Scenes from the Utah Scottish Festival--June 14, 2008. I went with my mom and her parents to this festival last week. My grandpa's parents were born in the same small town in Scotland, but didn't meet until he came to visit his brother in Canada. My great grandmother was working as a nanny for my great grandpa's brother.

For me the sound of bagpipes are simply heavenly.

Big reason to vote for McCain

I grabbed this from Patrick at Born again Redneck. He often gets right to the point on his blog. So, rather than reinventing the wheel. I will just give him credit and post it as it is.

Three of the five Justices who voted to give foreign prisoners of war access to our civil courts may die, retire or become disabled within the next four years. There is no assurance that McCain will appoint decent judges (and there's no guarantee how they will turn out even if they appear to be conservative at first) but it's a sure thing that Obama will appoint more Ginsbergs.
