"And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."

City of Heroes...and friends

Warning: If you don't play the game you might not care. If you do play the game...you still might not care. Read on if you want.

I recently convinced a friend to join in the fun on City of Heroes. I have been playing for over a year now and thought this friend would enjoy the game, as well.

Well, he brought another friend along with and I have found them to be hilariously fun. Just this week I had to walk away from the computer to take care of family stuff. This picture shows what I came back to find. They had their characters jump up on the torch sconces near the entrance to a room. I quickly snapped a screenshot because it was so funny.

All their in-game banter has been increased with the addition of Teamspeak to our gameplay. :)

What? You can have fun in video games now? (stopped gaming in '92).

I don't dare start playing games again... it took me a few years of going cold-turkey to get off the computer as it was... till the internet hooked me, anyways. ;-)

fj, I started gaming in about '92. For a while I played Civilization, which is most fun, but I only played against the computer. I was never much into MMORPG type online computer games. That is until my hubby and our friends here convinced me to play the game City of Heroes. I was instantly hooked.

oh and, ah yes, HACK! My sister used to play that back in the 80s on our dad's computer. My hubby remembers that game very well. In fact, he also used to own an Amiga Computer.

Nanc, The only game I have played on the Wii is Rock Band. Rock Band Rocks !!!! I ususally do the voice.

OK, I've NO idea what you're talking about, but I'm sure it's cool.

I wasn't into video games so much as good, old-fashioned dice chucking D&D

Brooke, COOL! I play DnD, too. Every Saturday night...well, every other Saturday. We play Mage the other weekends.

City of Heroes is a massively online computer game where people can interact with each others characters or heroes. It is a hoot.
